Rupert took his seat in the House of Lords in 1991 where he worked in a variety of roles (including Energy Spokesman for the Liberal Democrats). In 2012 he founded the Energy Managers Association. Rupert is also the CEO of The Water Retail Company, a company that is licensed to provide water and sewerage and annually organises EMEX – an event that focuses on educating those working in the energy management sector.
